Concert Performance Assessment (formerly known as concert festival) is an adjudicated event. It is open to all middle and high school bands and orchestras. The performances are assessed on stage by a panel of three judges and in sightreading by one judge.

ETSBOA provides three CPA events. The upper area site is in the Greeneville area. Middle area site is in the Knoxville area. Lower area site is in the Chattanooga area. Directors may choose to participate in any area event. All events occur in March.
