ETSBOA All East Jazz Clinic is open to students in grades 9-12.  The audition process involves two prepared pieces, improvisation, and sight-reading.  The clinic consists of
three jazz bands (Blue, Red, and White) consisting of 2 alto saxes, 2 tenor saxes, Bari sax, 5 trumpets, 4 trombones, 1 bass trombone, guitar, piano, bass, drum set, and
auxiliary percussion.  Each band has a clinician to lead the band and there is an artist in residence that works with each of the bands and usually performs a solo with the
bands.  From the students involved at clinic, ETSBOA sends a full jazz band of audition tapes for the audition process for All State Jazz Band. This is first offered to members of the blue band and then offered to the next in line seats until the spots are filled.
